For 16 days in February, Central Park was transformed into an enormous art project called "The Gates." Our family went
to see them, and touch them, and jump off them on two separate weekends, once right after they first opened and once on
the last day of the project. About 7,500 gates made of saffron fabric were placed along all the paths of the park, and the
project was specifically designed for display in the winter when there would be no other color competing with it. Above
are pictures of Nola having fun playing in the park. We have a rule on Nola's site that she has to appear somewhere in
each picture we display, it is her site after all, but we are going to partially break that rule in this case. Below are a few
pictures Greta took that were kinda nice, but Nola doesn't appear in them.
